The Sound of Silence...

As you've probably noticed things have gone a wee bit quiet here at GF3 central. In a nutshell, our favourite venue has closed and with it, for now, our Carry on Regardless show and the Open Mic evenings where we would showcase new material. Coupled to that, real life and work commitments have reared their ugly heads to eat in considerably to our writing and rehearsal schedule. Fear not, however, for plans are a-knee-shin-and-foot for new mobile Scallywag adventures, and we will also be looking for new venues and opportunities to get up and show-off in our own inimitable style! So, lots of pans on the aga simmering away, and we hope soon to advise that some are coming to the boil. In the meantime, collectively and individually, we'll be popping up in all kinds of strange places, and we'll give you a shout about those as and when we know the dates. Flitt & Folio (Peppy and David S), for example, will be fetching up at Javabean Cafe in Tunbridge Wells next Thursday (26th April) for a Read Your Words Open Mic evening of poetry and prose.

So there you have it. We've not been ignoring you, we've just not had much to report.

Oh: IN OTHER NEWS - it was Spike Milligan's "100th Birthday" earlier this week. His lovely daughter Jane gave me permission to use this on the website. It seemed very apt for several reasons...
